The Pokémon Company is now allowed to subpoena Discord and 4chan to uncover the identities of the Pokémon Sword and Shield leakers

The Pokémon Company recently filed a lawsuit in regard to the leaked Pokémon Sword and Shield information ahead of the games’ release. The leakers posted photos from the official Pokémon Sword and Shield strategy, which included new details about unreleased Pokémon. The Pokémon Company said it “reacted swiftly” to the leaks after the images were spotted online, and issued takedown requests “in an effort to mitigate the damage.”

The Pokémon Company is also seeking “compensatory damages” for the leakers’ “wrongful conduct,” as well as monetary relief, punitive and exemplary damages, and injunctive relief.
