Earlier this year, Nintendo acknowledged the numerous claims that reported drifting behaviors of Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo Switch with the following statement: “At Nintendo, we take great pride in creating quality products and we are continuously making improvements to them. We are aware of recent reports that some Joy-Con controllers are not responding correctly. We want our consumers to have fun with Nintendo Switch, and if anything falls short of this goal we always encourage them to visit http://support.nintendo.com so we can help.”
Due to the reported issues, Nintendo Switch has been named the most fragile product of 2019 by French consumers’ association: “Every year, magazine ’60 millions de consommateurs’ (’60 Million Consumers’) publishes its awards for the worst companies of the year. Among the guests for 2019 are SNCF (French national railway company), FNAC (retail chain selling cultural and electronic products) and, surprisingly, Nintendo. The Japanese firm has indeed been pointed out by many buyers following the Joy-Con problems.”
