Pokémon Sword and Shield are performing significantly better than Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee

As part of Nintendo’s financial release for the period that ended December 2019, the company has revealed updated sales figures for several of its million-seller titles, including multiple Pokémon games as of December 31, 2019:

  • Pokémon Sun and Moon have sold 16.18 million units
  • Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon have sold 8.70 million units
  • Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee have sold 11.76 million units
  • Pokémon Sword and Shield have sold 16.06 million units
    • To see just how well Pokémon Sword and Shield have been performing, you can compare the sales figures for several other Pokémon games from worldwide launch to December 31st in their respective release years:
      • Pokémon X and Y: 11.61 million
      • Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: 9.35 million
      • Pokémon Sun and Moon: 14.69 million
      • Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: 7.17 million
      • Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee: 10 million
