With the help of Google, The Pokémon Company hosted a Pokémon of the Year competition where fans voted for their favorite Pokémon. The voting period was from Wednesday, February 5, at 6 a.m. PST through Friday, February 14, at 5:59 a.m. PST. The top 10 voted are as follows:
