Production resumes for new Pokémon Sword and Shield anime, latest episode will air on June 7

The latest Pokémon anime series is simply called Pocket Monsters, a direct reference to when the anime first began back in 1997. The setting takes place in all Pokémon regions to date, from Kanto to Galar. Ash and Pikachu have returned and are joined by a new trainer named Go and his partner Scorbunny. Since its premiere, the new series has been running new episodes on a weekly basis. Earlier this year, The Pokémon Company and TV Tokyo removed upcoming episodes from the schedule due to complications connected to COVID-19. However, production has officially resumed and the latest episode will air on June 7.

ホウエン地方のミシロタウンに、1年の中でも限られた期間にしか見られないという「アゲハントの渡り」を調査しにやって来たサトシとゴウ。調査の途中、ゴウはケムッソをゲットしようとラビフットに声をかけるが、ラビフットは無関心。そんなラビフットにショックを受けるゴウ。その晩、宿泊先のポケモンセンターを抜け出すラビフット。一体どこへ……？
