Earlier this month, The Pokémon Company shared a special GIF dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement. It consists of Ash fist bumping Kiawe in a body of water together. Afterward, Nintendo of America shared an official statement about Black Lives Matter and George Floyd. Following its initial GIF, The Pokémon Company International shared a more formal statement. In addition, Pokémon GO developer Niantic also shared an official statement of its own. More recently, The Pokémon Company has announced that it is joining forces with Niantic to donate at least $5 million to nonprofit organizations around the world:
