Tickets for Pokémon GO Fest 2020 are now available in the in-app shop until July 26 at 6 p.m. local time

Niantic recently announced that Pokémon GO Fest 2020 will be a virtual ticketed event that will take place on July 25 and July 26. Read on below to learn more:

Pokémon GO Fest is going to be huge in 2020, with activities for players around the globe! The event takes place on July 25 and 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time each day. Both days are packed full of awesome events, including Special Research story events and much more. Some activities will be available only to players who have purchased a ticket, but there’s also plenty of fun for players who haven’t purchased a ticket, too.

On Day 1, look forward to rotating habitats featuring a wide variety of Pokémon to battle and catch. The habitats—Fire, Water, Grass, Battle, and Friendship—will rotate hourly throughout the day. Trainers who have purchased a Pokémon Go Fest ticket can also join the Global Challenge Arena, where players around the world can work collaboratively to unlock rewards all day long. The events of Day 2 are still under wraps, but ticket holders can expect a special experience that day.

The Mythical Pokémon Victini will also make its Pokémon GO debut during Pokémon GO Fest 2020. Niantic has created scraps of paper depicting a plan that involves both Victini and Team GO Rocket. Meanwhile, Niantic recommends saving your gift interactions during GO Fest Day 1 until the friendship habitat comes to you, as it will feature a Global Challenge to send gifts to friends. If the goal is met, gifts opened in the rest of the habitat’s time may contain an unexpected item. All Trainers will also be able to open, send, and collect up to 200 gifts during the first day of Pokémon GO Fest in your local timezone.

Tickets for Pokémon GO Fest are now available in the in-app shop until July 26 at 6 p.m. local time. Each ticket is $14.99 USD plus taxes and fees where applicable. Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. Trainers only need to purchase one ticket to access both days of Pokémon GO Fest activities.
