Niantic updates list of Pokémon GO known issues currently being investigated by its engineering team as of today, June 14

Niantic has updated the official Known Issues support page for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Known Issues

Here is where you can find a list of issues currently being investigated by our engineering team. This list will be updated regularly, and issues will be added and removed as they are discovered and resolved. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all issues we are aware of or working to fix. You can find the list of known issues related to GO Battle League here

Some Trainers can experience significant lag issues.
Issue description: When interacting with the game, Trainers may experience significant delays in responsiveness and slow animations.
Issue status: Investigating
Some Trainers can experience significant frame rate issues.
Issue description: Trainers may experience significant frame rate drop, resulting in choppy animations leading to increased difficulty catching Pokémon. Additionally, the longer the app is open, the more pronounced this issue may be.
Issue status: Investigating 
The screen will sometimes lock even if the Pokémon GO app is open and foregrounded.
Issue description: Some Trainers will have their screen lock after a few seconds or minutes of inactivity, even while the Pokémon GO app is open and in the foreground.
Issue status: Resolved in upcoming release (0.211.1)
Xerneas appears in its Neutral Mode in combat.
Issue description: Xerneas appears in its Neutral Mode, rather than its Active Mode, in combat.
Issue status: 
Resolved in upcoming release (0.211)
Galarian Ponyta could not be encountered in its Shiny form.
Issue description: Trainers could not encounter the Shiny form of Galarian Ponyta from Eggs or Research Breakthroughs from Tuesday May 18 until Monday May 24.
Issue status: Resolved. To make up for this issue, Galarian Ponyta will be appearing more often in 7km Eggs and there will be Timed Research featuring Galarian Ponyta plus bonus items.
Espeon and Umbreon appear on the evolve button at the wrong times of the day.
Issue description: This is a visual bug, if Eevee is evolved during the day, Eevee will correctly evolve into Espeon; if Eevee is evolved at night, Eevee will correctly evolve into Umbreon, as intended.
Issue status: Investigating
For a small number of Trainers, Eevee may not evolve into Sylveon when using special means.
Issue description: When some Trainers evolve Eevee through special means, Eevee may not evolve into Sylveon.
Issue status: Resolved. Please restart your application before attempting to evolve Eevee into Sylveon to mitigate any potential issues.
Melmetal using a Charged Attack that increases or decreases stats causes the Charged Attack and Switch buttons to disappear during a Team GO Rocket or Team Leader battle.
Issue description: After Melmetal uses a Charged Attack that applies an effect that increases or decreases stats, the Trainer will have their Charged Attack and Switch buttons disappear, and will be unable to take any actions.
Issue status: Resolved. Please restart your application to see the resolution.
The referral milestone for the Kanto Gold medal is not marked as completed for the referring Trainer, even when completed by the referred Trainer.
Issue description: Even if the referred Trainer completes the Kanto Gold medal, the referring Trainer does not have their corresponding referral milestone completed and so does not receive the rewards.
Issue status: Investigating
Ditto may appear as the opponent Pokèmon’s shiny version, even if the shiny version is not yet released.
Issue description: When battling, Ditto may appear as the shiny version of the opponent Pokèmon that is not yet released in Pokèmon GO.
Issue status: Resolved in release (0.209)
The event ticket information displayed is sometimes incorrect for certain users.
Issue description: The information on event tickets sometimes incorrectly displays the text for past events. This is a visual bug and purchasing this ticket still successfully lets Trainers access the intended event. This issue sometimes can be resolved by closing and re-opening the app, refreshing the game data in Settings, or uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Trainers have recurring issues with Adventure Sync on iOS devices.
Issue description:
 Trainers may experience issues enabling or disabling Adventure Sync, or may experience inaccurate distance tracking.
Issue status: Investigating

Trainer receives an “ERROR_GIFT_DOES_NOT_EXIST” notification when attempting to open a gift from a Friend.
Issue description: Sometimes when a Trainer selects a gift they’ve received from a Friend, the gift disappears and they are given a “ERROR_GIFT_DOES_NOT_EXIST” notification. The gift then disappears from their inventory and items are not received.
Issue status: Investigating

Xerneas appears in its Active Mode outside of combat.
Issue description: 
Xerneas appears in its Active Mode, rather than its Neutral Mode, outside of combat.
Issue status: Resolved in release (0.209)
Evolving a Buddy sometimes causes the game to crash and get stuck on the post-login warning.
Issue description: Sometimes Trainers evolve their Buddy, and find that their Buddy disappears. This can be resolved if the Trainer is able to add a Buddy from any of their existing Pokémon while the game is still responsive. However, if they are unable to do so, the game will eventually become unresponsive and lock the player into the “Do not trespass” or “Do not drive” warnings indefinitely.
Issue status: Resolved in upcoming release. Please contact Support via this form if this is affecting you and we can resolve it on your behalf.
In-app news displays the incorrect text.
Issue description: The news within the app is not displaying correctly for Trainers.
Issue status: Investigating
