Niantic reveals full patch notes for new Pokémon GO update version 1.181 and 0.215 on iOS and Android

Pokémon GO is being updated to a new version across all capable iOS and Android devices. The latest update is being rolled out to iOS and Android devices, respectively. According to patch notes from the development team at Niantic, the latest update implements various bug fixes and improvements for an overall smoother experience.

What’s New in Version 1.181.0 (iOS)

– Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time will take place from July 23 at 10:00 a.m. to August 3 at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Pokémon from various eras will be appearing more often.
– Address Book Import: Soon, you’ll be able to add friends from your contact list.
– In-app support is now located at the top of the Settings menu.
– Collection Challenges now include a window explaining the challenge’s icons.
– You can now skip the Team GO Rocket battle-reward animations.

What’s New in Version 0.215.0 (Android)

  • Fixed bug in which catching a Pokémon with no catch requirements from a raid did not count towards mini-collections.

  • Mitigated issue causing Community Day information to be incorrect before restarting app.

  • Fixed bug stopping Trainers from re-entering a Raid Battle lobby they had previously joined with time still left on the clock.
  • Fixed bug causing Sponsored Pokéstop information to appear on a non-sponsored Pokéstop.
  • Fixed bug stopping in-app notification from alerting Trainers about a new message from support. Trainers have since received notifications about all unread messages regardless of how long they have been unread.
  • Fixed link on Raid Logging page to go to correct Help Center article.
  • Fixed bug causing details on Friends page to load slowly when scrolling up and down quickly on the page.
  • Fixed bug stopping push notifications for Trainers using an Android device.
  • Fixed right-to-left language input to be correctly justified in text fields when paired with left-to-right language input.
  • Fixed text on referral milestones appearing incorrectly.
