Niantic is now sending plea emails to Pokémon GO players who haven’t opened the app in a while

Niantic is now sending plea emails to Pokémon GO players who haven’t opened the app in a while. The email centers around the Pokémon you last set as your buddy, as shown in the pasted email text below:

Eevee needs a Berry!

YOUR BUDDY EEVEE MISSES YOU.

Trainer,

Don’t leave behind the friendship you’ve built with Eevee! It takes only a few moments each day to build a lasting friendship.

Do at least one activity per day to level up your friendship:

  • Feed Eevee treats.
  • Take Eevee into battle with you.
  • Take a snapshot of Eevee.

Completing all these activities will bring you closer to being Best Buddies. Being Best Buddies will grant Eevee a Combat Power (CP) boost, which will help it when battling!
