It’s officially February 27, 2022, in Japan, which means today is Pokémon Day! This special day commemorates the milestone of launching the very first Pokémon games in Japan back in 1996 – Pokémon Red and Green for the original Game Boy. The Pokémon Company is celebrating this year with a slew of Pokémon-themed events and new products, including video games, Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products, new Pokémon anime episodes and much more.
