The NPD Group has revealed which games were top sellers in the U.S. for last month including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The full results in each relevant category are as follows:

“April 2022 consumer spending across video game hardware, content and accessories declined 8% when compared to a year ago, to $4.3 billion,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said. “Hardware gains were unable to offset declines in content and accessories spending. Year-to-date 2022 spending was also 8% lower than the same period a year ago, to $18.3 billion.”
