Niantic updates list of Pokémon GO issues related to GO Battle League as of today, September 22

Here is a list of issues related to GO Battle League that are currently being investigated by our engineering team. This list will be updated regularly, and issues will be added and removed as they are discovered and resolved. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all issues we are aware of or working to fix. You can find the list of known issues unrelated to GO Battle League here.

Trainers are asked to walk to join a GBL battle.
Issue description: 
Trainers attempting to join a GBL battle are asked to walk as a requirement to battle. This is purely a visual bug, tap “BATTLE” to join the match without walking.
Issues status:
 Investigating. This issue affects Trainers on release 249.1
Some Trainers see incorrect or missing visuals when battling.
Issue description: Some Trainers battling may see incorrect or missing visuals if their device has not yet downloaded assets after a new update.
Issue status: Investigating, this affects Trainers on 249.1. Please use the “download all assets” feature in the settings menu to mitigate this issue.

Protect Shield Display Inaccuracy
Issue description: Protect Shield animation will still play even if a Protect Shield fails.
Issue status: Mitigated in 0.243.

Protect Shield Failure
Issue description: Protect shields may sometimes not work.
Issue status: Mitigated in 0.243.  Further improvements under investigation.
