Glastrier and Spectrier now appearing in Pokémon Sword and Shield Max Raid Battles until today, October 23, at 4:59 p.m. PDT

The latest Max Raid Battle event is now underway in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Read on below to learn more:

Encounter Glastrier and Spectrier in Max Raid Battles

Take on these two Legendary Pokémon in your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game to obtain valuable items.

Why the long face? Hopefully you don’t feel saddled with responsibility now that Glastrier, the Wild Horse Pokémon, and Spectrier, the Swift Horse Pokémon, are appearing in Max Raid Battles. If you’re in the neigh-borhood of the Galar region, you have until October 23, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT to hoof it over to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield’s Pokémon Dens, where you can encounter these two Legendary Pokémon. Although you won’t have the opportunity to catch Glastrier or Spectrier after you rein them in, you will receive many useful items that you wouldn’t normally earn in Max Raid Battles.

For an opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you’ll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon. This event does not affect the Pokémon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.

Be sure to read our Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Max Raid Battle Tips article for advice on how to topple these opponents. Don’t wait, though—you don’t want to miss out on the chance to face these powerful Pokémon because you were too busy horsing around!
