Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are returning to 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from April 30 at 5 p.m. to May 14 at 4:59 p.m. PDT

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Return to Tera Raid Battles

These elusive Paradox Pokémon can soon be found once again at Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Tera Raid crystals.

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are returning to 5-star Tera Raid Battles! You’ll be able to take on these mysterious Paradox Pokémon from Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Water–Tera Type Walking Wake will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Psychic–Tera Type Iron Leaves will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Violet. These version-exclusive Pokémon can’t normally be encountered in Paldea, so try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!

For the opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

These special Walking Wake and Iron Leaves can be caught only once per save data, so if you were able to catch them during their previous appearance, you won’t be able to catch them again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against Walking Wake and Iron Leaves if you’ve already caught them to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.

If you’re looking for some tips on how to defeat these powerful Pokémon, head on over to our Tera Raid Battle Tips article. Learn the ins and outs of Tera Raid Battles in the Paldea region so that you never miss a chance to catch a powerful Pokémon or earn handsome rewards.
