Continue your adventures with The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: The Teal Mask for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet!
It’s time to step back into the world of Pokémon! The paid DLC*, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon™ Scarlet or Pokémon Violet adds two fresh adventures filled with new Pokémon, places, and stories. The first part—The Teal Mask—comes out today!
Who’s up for a field trip? In this adventure, you’ll join a special school trip to the land of Kitakami and learn about the local legend of the Loyal Three Pokémon. Your base of operations will be Mossui Town, a communal hub where locals gather and shop among picturesque fields and rice paddies. You’ll also travel east of the village to Kitakami Hall, experience the traditional Festival of Masks (full of bustling summer stalls), and unravel local folktales. And how does the fearsome Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon figure into all this? Yikes, take care out there!
During your trip, you’ll also:
- Meet Carmine and Kieran, two siblings from Kitakami who study at the famed Blueberry Academy. How will their future intertwine with yours?
- Snap pics of Pokémon alongside stylish photographer, Perrin.
- Take part in a Kitakami tradition called Ogre Oustin’. Here, your goal is to pop Ogre Balloons while riding on your Legendary Pokémon as you deliver Berries to the Berry Tables. The mochi you get as a reward can increase the base points for your Pokémon’s stats—a Fresh-Start Mochi can even reset a Pokémon’s base points! You can also try Ogre Oustin’ with up to three other players online** or via local wireless***.
- Try out the new Roto-Stick to take super in-game selfies with your Pokémon. You can also direct your Pokémon to get a great shot!
Stay tuned for Part 2: The Indigo Disk
While The Teal Mask launches today, buying The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero also gives you access to The Indigo Disk when it comes out (planned release date: Winter 2023). In Part 2, you’ll study abroad at Blueberry Academy where the curriculum emphasizes Pokémon Battling. Here, you’ll explore the undersea Terarium Dome, encounter the newly discovered Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, and take on the Blueberry League’s Elite Four. You may even be able to catch first partner Pokémon from past games!
Important note: If you already own either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, make sure you choose the right DLC option when buying the DLC. The DLC you buy needs to match your version of the game.
