Ghost Types Gather for a Ghoulishly Good Time!
As shadows fall, Ghost-type Pokémon rise for some fa-boo-lous fun. Until Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 23:59 UTC, mass outbreaks of Drifloon, Phantump, Mimikyu, and Greavard will be appearing throughout Paldea and Kitakami.
Pokémon encountered in these special mass outbreaks are more likely to have the Crafty Mark. These opportunistic Ghost types must be on the prowl for tricks and treats!

What Is a Mass Outbreak?
Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

Information about Mass Outbreak Events
• To participate in mass outbreak events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• While purchasing The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is not required to participate in this mass outbreak event, there may be future mass outbreak events that occur in locations that cannot be accessed without The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

Ghost-type Pokémon that may have the Crafty Mark are on the prowl in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
As shadows fall, Ghost-type Pokémon rise for some fa-boo-lous fun in this Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet mass outbreak event. Until Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, mass outbreaks of Drifloon, Phantump, Mimikyu, and Greavard will be appearing throughout Paldea and Kitakami. Lucky Trainers are in for a frightfully festive treat: Pokémon encountered in these special mass outbreaks are more likely to have the Crafty Mark!
Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location, and when you catch a Pokémon with a mark, you can choose to have a title associated with that mark displayed when you send your Pokémon into battle.
To participate in mass outbreak events, you will need to download the latest Poké Portal News and install the latest update data for your game. While purchasing The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is not required to participate in this mass outbreak event, there may be future mass outbreak events that occur in locations that cannot be accessed without The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
How to View and Assign Marks
- Select a Pokémon in your party or your Boxes, then select Check summary.
- From the Pokémon Status Summary screen, navigate left or right to the Memories screen.
- If the Pokémon you are viewing has a mark but is not currently displaying a title, Assign a Ribbon or Markwill be shown on the right. Press the A Button, and you can assign a mark to the Pokémon and display the associated title.
Try not to be frightened by all these Ghost-type Pokémon, Trainers!
