For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is ecstatic to feature the art of the incredible Rakun.
“Art is a way to distract myself from my main daily activities. It’s a way for me to let off all the work stress and enjoy doing something different; something that I’m also passionate about, but also gives me a little more peace of mind,” the Mexican artist shared with Pokémon Blog.
Pokémon has been a part of our featured artist’s life for the most part, especially the video games. He described it as a franchise that he’s very fond of.
“I moved away from Pokémon for a while, specifically from the 4th to the 7th generation, but I have always remembered it with great affection,” he explained. “What I like the most about the franchise are the video games (mainline and spinoffs). Although, the other products also garner my attention.”
Making artwork of Pokémon is something that Rakun enjoys a lot.
“I have the illusion of being able to grow more as an artist and be able to do a better job, but without a doubt, I really like working on Pokémon drawings. It feels great to have been able to start in the art world with Pokémon.”
When it’s time to choose his favorite Pokémon, Pikachu is the answer, but he admits Lucario is not too far behind.
