For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is deeply honored to feature the art of the marvelous Sevi, also known as Sevi Yummy.
“Since I was a child, I have always loved to draw. I have always loved anime style, and drawing has been my favorite hobby. I used to draw in my free time, during recess when I was at school, etcetera,” our featured artist shared. “Later on, I was introduced to digital drawing. I purchased my tablet, and it was learning from scratch since it was totally different from what I was used to. But I practiced a lot, and eventually, it went from being my hobby to my part-time job, and then it became my full-time job.”
She feels lucky to have the opportunity to do this as her full-time job.
“It gives me an enormous amount of happiness to be able to live from this, express my ideas through my drawings, and it’s beautiful to receive the support and affection of those who follow my art.”
Sevi doesn’t know what she loves the most between Pokémon and drawing: “Pokémon is my childhood, my adolescence, and my adulthood. I grew up with this franchise. I watched the anime, played all the video games, and collected many figures and stuffed animals. Honestly, it fascinates me.”
“I love to draw Pokémon, create ideas and scenarios, and give them my touch. I try to make them beautiful, even the ones that are not so beautiful (I love those challenges. I enjoy combining my two passions a lot.”
Sevi has several favorite Pokémon. Her top pick is Lugia, but she also has a soft spot for Cyndaquil, Miltank, Mimikyu, and Miraidon.
