Blast the Competition with Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna in Pokémon Masters EX
Gladion pairs up with the Mythical Pokémon Magearna after a soul-searching story event on Pasio.
Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna are a Fairy-type strike sync pair with the potential to completely overwhelm their opponents with Fleur Cannon. This Fairy-type move is a powerful special attack move that does massive damage and reduces Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s Sp. Atk by two stat ranks—or so you would think. Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s passive skill Just Give It Up Already prevents their stats from being lowered and lowers the target’s Sp. Atk whenever they successfully attack with Fleur Cannon, ignoring all potential self-debuffs.
Each use of Fleur Cannon gets Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna closer to a more powerful Piercing Fleur Cannon, which increases in power when the target’s Sp. Atk is lowered. Additionally, the more the target’s Sp. Atk is lowered, the more it increases Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s Special Moves ↑ Next effect, up to a maximum of three. With their Sp. Atk and critical-hit rate fully raised by their Trainer move My Soul Is Shaking!, Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna will have no problem piercing through anything.
As a Master Fair sync pair, Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna have the passive skill Alola Spirit, which powers up the special attack moves of all allied sync pairs by 20 percent and reduces special attack move damage taken by all sync pairs by 25 percent. The more allied sync pairs with the Alola theme you have on your team, the higher these percentages are.

Recommended Sync Pairs to Partner with Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna
Lillie & Clefairy
Gladion and Lillie’s bond as brother and sister is as strong as any sync pair’s in Pokémon Masters EX—it’s only natural that these two would have some natural synergy when paired together. Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna can max out their Sp. Atk and critical-hit rate with their Trainer move My Soul Is Shaking!, but critically does not make up for Fleur Cannon’s accuracy of 90. A single use of Lillie & Clefairy’s X Accuracy All increases the likelihood that Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna will consistently land Fleur Cannon with ease.
Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s passive skill Alola Spirit also increases in power when paired with Lillie & Clefairy since they have the Alola theme skill. As an additional bonus, Lillie & Clefairy and Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna share the Fairy theme skill, granting them even more bonus stats when paired together. Lillie & Clefairy are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Alola Ticket Scout.
Mallow (Palentine’s 2023) & Appletun
If you scouted Mallow (Palentine’s 2023) & Appletun during the recent Palentine’s festivities, you’re in luck—their sweet moves complement Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s special attack moves nicely. Mallow (Palentine’s 2023) & Appletun’s Apple Acid lowers the Sp. Def of their target by one stat rank each time it lands, indirectly increasing the damage output from Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s Fleur Cannon, Piercing Fleur Cannon, and Gentle Souls Fleur Cannon.
Like Lillie & Clefairy, Mallow (Palentine’s 2023) & Appletun also have the Alola theme skill, increasing the power of Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna’s Alola Spirit. Mallow (Palentine’s 2023) & Appletun are available to scout from the Super Spotlight Seasonal Scout until February 28, 2024, at 9:59 p.m. PST.
