Get Down with Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna in Pokémon Masters EX

Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna show off daring style and reckless moves as Pokémon Masters EX’s newest Ground-type strike sync pair.

Dance-loving Trainers are hosting an event to welcome the Frontier Brain Dahlia to Pasio. While seeking more participants, Tierno, Fantina, and friends come across Adaman and Irida struggling to deepen their bond with their new Pokémon partners. At the dancers’ urging, the Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan leaders don stylish new outfits and attempt to connect with the hearts of their new Pokémon through dance. Find out how these Trainers from long ago step into the modern era during Costume Event: The Power of Dance.

Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna

Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna are a Ground-type strike sync pair that thrive under pressure. They have not one, not two, but three passive skills that make them stronger when they’re affected by a status condition. Burning Dance powers up Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna’s moves when they’re affected by a status condition and keeps burns from reducing their Attack. Outrun 3 charges the move gauge faster when they’re afflicted with a status condition, and Status Cond: S-Moves ↑ 9 powers up their sync move when affected by status conditions.

But how often will Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna be affected by a status condition? Every battle, thanks to their Trainer move, Times Are Changing! This move raises Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna’s Attack by six stat ranks and their critical-hit rate by three but leaves them burned—perfectly setting them up for reckless success with their hard-hitting buddy move, Hazy Headlong Rush, which can only be used once they’re burned.

For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna are available to scout from March 13, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to April 2, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.

Recommended Sync Pairs to Partner with Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna

Skyla & Swanna

Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna speed up the move gauge with their passive skill Outrun 3, but still need extra Speed support to keep up with the demands of their buddy move. Skyla & Swanna are one of the most effective support sync pairs when it comes to raising their allies’ Speed thanks to their Trainer move Take Flight!, which raises the Speed of all allied sync pairs by two stat ranks. They also have Potion to top off Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna’s HP as they take damage from a status condition, such as being burned. Skyla & Swanna can be acquired after completing Chapter 5 of the main story.

Courtney & Camerupt

The majority of Adaman (Special Costume) & Ursaluna’s damage comes from their buddy move, Hazy Headlong Rush, and sync move, Moonlit Moves Ground Impact. Both moves do Ground-type physical damage, and thus increase in power when Courtney & Camerupt lay down a Ground Zone using Ground Wish—making the two sync pairs a powerful combination. They also share the Ground theme skill, granting them bonuses when paired together. Courtney & Camerupt are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Hoenn Ticket Scout.

Stay grounded, Trainers!
