Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Return to Tera Raid Battles!
From Friday, April 26, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Monday, May 6, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, Walking Wake will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Scarlet game, and Iron Leaves will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in the Pokémon Violet game.

These Paradox Pokémon cannot normally be encountered in Paldea. The Walking Wake appearing during this event has Water as its Tera Type, and the Iron Leaves appearing during this event has Psychic as its Tera Type. Try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!

The special Walking Wake and Iron Leaves featured in this event can each be caught only once per save data. If you caught these Pokémon during a previous Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch them again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against these Pokémon to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught them.

The Walking Wake and Iron Leaves appearing during this event may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

What Is a Tera Raid Battle?

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Information about Tera Raid Battle Events

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• You’ll be able to find 5-star Tera Raid Battles after completing Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet’s main story. However, players who haven’t completed the main story may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• You can participate in Tera Raid Battles against Pokémon that don’t appear in the version of the game you’re playing by joining a Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer with the opposite version of the game.
• A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Terms apply. Learn more at https://www.nintendo.com/switch-online.
• Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

Don’t miss a new opportunity to add these elusive Paradox Pokémon to your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet team.

Get your team ready to take on some powerful Paradox Pokémon as Walking Wake and Iron Leaves return to 5-star Tera Raid Battles! You’ll be able to take on these mysterious Pokémon from Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Monday, May 6, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Water–Tera Type Walking Wake will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Psychic–Tera Type Iron Leaves will be appearing in Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Violet. These version-exclusive Pokémon can’t normally be encountered in Paldea, so try joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers playing the other version of the game to help complete your Paradox Pokémon collection!

For the opportunity to encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

These special Pokémon can be caught only once per save data, so if you were able to catch them during one of their previous appearances, you won’t be able to catch them again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against Walking Wake and Iron Leaves if you’ve already caught them to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
