For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is delighted to feature the beautiful art of the talented Ana (tia_anacleta69). She participated in the third and fourth generations of Pokédex Ilustrada, organized by the incredible team of Ilustradoras Unidas.
“Art has been present in my life since I was a child. It has been my way of expressing myself. And, above it all, my safe place from external problems. Over the years, I’ve been nurturing myself by learning things related to art to improve my skills,” she explained. “It’s essential for me to do this without pressuring myself and to be true to my heart since it’s my tool to say what I cannot say with words.”
The Pokémon Franchise has been in Ana’s life for as long as she can remember: “I never played the first Pokémon Video Games at the time of their release, but the anime, the cards, and the bootleg toys were always present. I used to dream about what my teams would be like in each region. And I would capture it in my drawings ( and I still do it now as an adult). It has been my comfort franchise and has taught me a lot about values and the richness of imagination.”
She feels very grateful for having the ability to capture her visions about the franchise she loves deeply and to grow as an artist and person thanks to its influence.
“In addition to drawing, I have dabbled in animation and sculpture with cold porcelain. Pokémon has also been a fundamental part of developing those passions. My first porcelain creation was a small Mimikyu that I treasure to this day because it marks the beginning of my journey in this area and helps me to see how much I have improved ever since.”

“When I first saw Noivern, I told myself that I had to get one of those someday. Years went by when I finally had the chance to play one of the main Pokémon Games (Pokémon Sword). And, as soon as I came across a Noibat, I added it to my team,” she shared. “I came to the League with Ozzy (that’s what I called her). She was a good partner and also gave me my first shiny by breeding. She definitely has a special place in my heart.”
