Get ready to make a splash! From Friday, June 7, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 23:59 UTC, mass outbreaks of Finizen will be appearing throughout the Paldea region, mass outbreaks of Lotad will be appearing throughout the land of Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Horsea will be appearing throughout the Terarium at Blueberry Academy.
Pokémon encountered in these special mass outbreaks are more likely to have the Kindly Mark, so have fun catching wave after wave of these kindhearted Water types!

What Is a Mass Outbreak?
Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

Information about Mass Outbreak Events
• In order to participate in limited-time mass outbreak events, you need to have downloaded the latest update data and the latest Poké Portal News. You do not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to receive the latest Poké Portal News.
• You can download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News.
Catch Water-Type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Mass Outbreaks
Large groups of Horsea, Lotad, and Finizen will be making a big splash during this event.
Things are about to get wet and wild in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet as the Paldea region, the land of Kitakami, and the Terarium at Blueberry Academy become awash with mass outbreaks of Water-type Pokémon. From Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you can encounter wave after wave of Horsea, Lotad, and Finizen as you drift through these areas. You’ll also find that these Pokémon are more likely to have the Kindly Mark—how nice! Look for the following Pokémon in these locations:
- Paldea – Finizen
- Kitakami – Lotad
- Blueberry Academy – Horsea
