Niantic is now investigating a new Pokémon GO issue where Shadow Lugia can’t be subdued once it becomes Enraged, affected players can now claim a Free Box containing Purified Gems and Premium Battle Passes

Enraged Shadow Lugia Unable to be Subdued

Issue Description: When encontering Shadow Lugia, Trainers are unable to use Purified Gems and Attacks to Subdue the Enraged State.

Confirmed Workaround: Shadow Lugia will not enter the Enraged state until further notice.

Issue Status: Investigating.

Trainers in GMT +14 to +10 timezones who challenged Shadow Lugia while it could still become Enraged can now claim a Free Box containing Purified Gems and Premium Battle Passes from the in-app shop.

Trainers, we are investigating an issue where Shadow Lugia can’t be subdued once it becomes Enraged. As a result, Shadow Lugia will not become Enraged for the remainder of the event. We will follow up with an update for affected Trainers in GMT +14 to +10 timezones. #PokemonGO
