Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Ranked Battles Season 27 (February 2025)

Take on players from around the world to climb the leaderboards and earn in‑game rewards.

A new Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Ranked Battles season has begun! This is a great time to dive into the action to test your Trainer skills in head-to-head battles with players from around the world, move up the global leaderboards, and earn helpful in-game rewards.

Running until Friday, February 28, 2025, at 3:59 p.m. PST, Ranked Battles Season 27 will follow Regulation Set G, which allows each team to feature one restricted Legendary Pokémon. Also, Pokémon are allowed to Terastallize during battle.

Eligible Pokémon

Eligible Pokémon for Ranked Battles Season 27 include Paldea Pokédex No. 001–400, Kitakami Pokédex No. 001–200, and Blueberry Pokédex No. 001–242, as well as certain other Pokémon that can be obtained in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet or brought into these games via Pokémon HOME. Certain Pokémon may not be used. See the end of this article for a detailed list of other eligible Pokémon.

Season 27 Rewards

Before battle, you’ll be matched up with players of similar rank to ensure even competition. The higher the tier you finish in, the greater your in-game rewards after the season concludes. Season 27 rewards include the following:

Master Ball Tier

• Love Ball ×2
• Gold Bottle Cap ×1
• Bottle Cap ×3
• Ability Patch ×1
• 300,000 League Points

Ultra Ball Tier

• Spicy Herba Mystica ×2

Great Ball Tier

• TM171 (Tera Blast) ×1

• 20,000 League Points

Beginner Tier

• 10,000 League Points

How to Start a Ranked Battle

To start a Ranked Battle, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Poké Portal.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Ranked Battles.

How to Receive In-Game Rewards

You will need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during Season 27 to be eligible for rewards at the end of the season. To receive your in-game rewards, follow these steps:

1. After the season has ended, launch your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Poké Portal.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Ranked Battles.
