The Tyranitar appearing during this event has Ghost as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

This special Tyranitar can be caught only once per save data. If you caught this Tyranitar previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Tyranitar to obtain other rewards if you’ve already caught it.

This Tyranitar may be featured in future events or become obtainable through other methods.

What Is a Tera Raid Battle?

In a Tera Raid Battle, you’ll work together with three other Trainers to defeat a powerful Tera Pokémon before time runs out. The kinds of Pokémon encountered during Tera Raid Battle events will vary. Pokémon encountered in Tera Raid Battles may have a rare Tera Type.

Information about Tera Raid Battle Events

• To participate in Tera Raid Battle events, please download the latest Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Check Poké Portal News.
• After completing certain postgame events, you’ll be able to find black Tera Raid crystals. However, players who haven’t completed these events may still participate in these Tera Raid Battles by joining other Trainers in multiplayer.
• A Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account are required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online. Membership auto-renews after initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Not available in all countries. Internet access required for online features. Terms apply. • Tera Raid Battle events will occur only in the Paldea region.

Tyranitar with the Mightiest Mark Is Coming to 7‑Star Tera Raid Battles

Encounter Ghost–Tera Type Tyranitar at black Tera Raid crystals, and you’ll also find Blissey in 5-star Tera Raid Battles.

The ground will shake and mountains will crumble as Tyranitar stomps into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet 7-star Tera Raid Battles. The Armor Pokémon will appear at black Tera Raid crystals from Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, then again from Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

The Tyranitar appearing during this event has Ghost as its Tera Type. Be prepared—this Pokémon is a formidable foe, and it’s got the Mightiest Mark to prove it! Work together with your friends to topple this powerful Tera Pokémon!

During the latter half of this event—from Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT—Blissey will be appearing more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Blissey will have various Tera Types, so prepare wisely before challenging them! Defeating Blissey will yield some delightful rewards, such as various Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies.

Whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon. To find the Tera Pokémon featured in this event, you’ll also need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. To do so, follow these steps:

Select Poké Portal in the X menu.
Select Mystery Gift.
Select Check Poké Portal News.

To challenge Ghost–Tera Type Tyranitar with the Mightiest Mark, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. This special Tyranitar can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Tyranitar if you’ve already caught it to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon, treasures that can be sold at Pokémon Centers, items for improving your Pokémon’s stats, and Ghost Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.
