Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. During limited-time mass outbreak events, certain Pokémon will become more likely to appear.

From Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, mass outbreaks of Tarountula, Spinarak, and Venonat will be appearing throughout various locations. Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks, so get ready to catch plenty of these crawly critters.
