Pokémon Blog is overjoyed to announce that FanArt Friday has just reached its second anniversary!
Over the last two years, we’ve had the privilege of learning about the journeys and creative processes of 89 artists within our beautiful Pokémon community.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate the most incredible festivities with nine compilations, including a very special project organized by our dear friends at Ilustradoras Unidas,
To commemorate this milestone, Pokémon Blog brings back four longtime friends of the section who helped shape FanArt Friday into what it is today: Costanza (C.a.cosas/ An Ordinary Frög), Silvia (silviacustomcards), Bee (moonlit._bee), and DBA (Dream Ball Art).
Amid this special celebration, we also invited some of the voices who have shaped this space with their talent and passion. Here are the beautiful words of two of them:
For Silvia, FanArt Friday is a great opportunity to meet other artists and share her passion within the Pokémon community. “It’s an honor to participate and be appreciated for your creativity, and a fun and friendly way to interact with other Pokémon lovers,” she added.
“FanArt Friday is a great way for artists and the Pokémon community to connect with each other. It gives both small and large artists the chance to showcase their art while also providing insight into their motivation and personal connection to Pokémon. As someone who has always wanted to connect with others through my art, I feel grateful to have been featured here multiple times already. We all have different reasons for embracing this community, and FanArt Friday is yet another little safe space for all of us,” Bee told the Pokémon Blog Team.
As Bee said, we hope to continue providing this little safe space for all of you for many years to come.
