Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version are set to launch digitally on Feb. 27 in honor of Pokémon Day and the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Both Game Boy Advance classics will be available for $19.99 each via the Nintendo eShop, where preorders are live now. The titles will be playable on Nintendo Switch and are also compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. The digital-only release gives longtime fans and newcomers an easy way to revisit the Kanto region with updated hardware support.
The official soundtrack for both Game Boy Advance titles is now available on the official Nintendo Music app. The release lets fans stream classic Kanto tracks directly on their devices, from battle themes to iconic town music. Access to the app is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members, adding another perk for subscribers. With the retro soundscape now easier to revisit, longtime players can relive their original adventures while a new generation discovers the series’ early musical roots.
