Gameplay centers on aiming the Poké Ball cards so they land on the matching numbers printed on Pokémon cards, with successful throws allowing players to collect those Pokémon and score points based on the combined values of the cards they capture. The player with the highest total score at the end of the game wins, while special Pokémon with unique effects can create comeback opportunities by changing the flow of a match, making Pokémon Shushushu an accessible family board game that combines simple dexterity-based mechanics with strategic timing.
