Pokémon TCG Pocket has announced that a major app update scheduled for July 28, 2026, will require players to download approximately 3.5 GB of data as the game transitions to the latest version of the Unity development engine. According to the developers, the update is designed to improve the game’s long-term service and future development, with the downloaded data replacing existing files rather than increasing the app’s overall storage size by 3.5 GB. Due to the large download, players are encouraged to update over a Wi-Fi connection. As compensation for the required download, all players will receive 36 Pack Hourglasses after the update is complete.
