Pokémon GO‘s Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers event is now underway through Aug. 10, bringing the debut of Shiny Snom alongside rotating Fire-type and Ice-type Pokémon encounters, themed Eggs and limited-time GO Pass rewards. Players can encounter Vulpix, Alolan Vulpix, Growlithe, Swinub, Snorunt, Ponyta, Snover, Slugma and Vanillite in the wild on rotating schedules, while 5 km Eggs can hatch Sneasel, Darumaka, Galarian Darumaka, Sizzlipede and Snom. Shiny Snom can also appear through GO Pass task rewards or from Eggs. Event bonuses include increased PokéStop XP and reduced Egg Hatch Distance through the Summer Marathon: Arctic Embers GO Pass, with GO Pass Deluxe offering even greater boosts. Trainers can also complete themed Field Research and Timed Research to earn event Pokémon, 16,800 XP and an encounter with Pikachu wearing a Marathon Visor, while the event’s free and paid GO Pass tracks reward Stardust, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls, Incense, Candy XL and additional Pokémon encounters.
