Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale will take place Sept. 5-6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time, introducing Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja alongside the return of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y in Super Mega Raids. The event begins with the Mega Ascension period from Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. through Sept. 4 at 11:59 p.m. local time, during which Trainers can complete branching Timed Research and choose Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie, determining their GO Pass: Mega Finale path and the Mega Evolution they will work toward. The free GO Pass includes enough Mega Energy to Mega Evolve the chosen Pokémon once, while GO Pass Deluxe offers additional Mega Energy, Candy, Candy XL, XP, Shiny encounter bonuses and a themed avatar shirt, with Deluxe upgrades priced from $14.99. During the finale weekend, Mega Mewtwo X will headline Super Mega Raids on Saturday before Mega Mewtwo Y takes over Sunday, while rotating habitats will feature Pokémon and Mega Raid bosses tied to different Mega Evolutions.
Saturday’s habitats include Verdant Overgrowth, Mindworks Canal, Eerie Alley and Circuit Plaza, with Mega Beedrill, Mega Victreebel, Mega Pinsir and Mega Abomasnow appearing in Mega Raids, while Sunday features Iron Frostworks, Battle District, Skyline Roosts and Prism Promenade with Mega Steelix, Mega Skarmory, Mega Aggron and Mega Glalie. Pokémon caught from Mega Raids during Mega Ascension and the finale may have Mega Evolution-themed Special Backgrounds, which gain additional effects when the Pokémon is Mega Evolved. Remote Raid limits will increase to 30 during Mega Ascension and be removed entirely during the Sept. 5-6 finale, while all Mega-Evolved Pokémon will receive an extra CP boost during the event weekend. Mega Ascension will also feature Mega Victreebel, Mega Dragonite and Mega Malamar on Aug. 31, Mega Falinks on Sept. 1, Mega Skarmory on Sept. 2, Mega Starmie on Sept. 3 and Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y on Sept. 4, with Mega Latias and Mega Latios also potentially appearing throughout the event.
