Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to introduce dual-type cards and new Pokémon ex as part of a new series of expansions beginning in October 2026, with the announcements revealed during the Pokémon TCG Pocket panel at PokémonXP. Mega Mewtwo X ex will lead the new card lineup as the game’s first dual-type Pokémon card, combining Psychic and Fighting types, while first partner Pokémon will also begin appearing as Pokémon ex, including Piplup ex and Fuecoco ex. The new additions will expand deck-building possibilities and give players more cards to collect as the next wave of Pokémon TCG Pocket expansions begins rolling out in October.
