Pokémon GO is expanding Mega Evolution with new Charged Attacks and unique Adventure Effects debuting alongside Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale. Mega Mewtwo X will gain Dynamic Punch+ while Mega Mewtwo Y will gain Future Sight+, with their respective Adventure Effects remaining usable even when Mewtwo is not Mega Evolved. Dynamic Punch+ increases damage against Mega-Evolved Pokémon in Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids and allows Trainers to break two shields at once in Super Mega Raids, while Future Sight+ highlights Pokémon encounters that will appraise as three-star or higher. Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja will also debut Seed Bomb+, Mystical Fire+ and Surf+, respectively, during the Mega Finale, while Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Skarmory, Mega Falinks, Mega Starmie, Mega Victreebel, Mega Malamar and Mega Dragonite gain additional Charged Attacks as Super Max Level-eligible Pokémon. The Mega Finale runs Sept. 5-6, with Mega Mewtwo X appearing in special Mega Raids Saturday and Mega Mewtwo Y taking over Sunday.
