Pokémon Champions Junior Launches Sept. 9 in Germany and Brazil for Younger VGC Players

Pokémon Champions Junior will launch on Nintendo eShop in Germany and Brazil on Sept. 9, 2026, giving younger players access to a version of the game designed to meet regional age-rating requirements and remain eligible for Pokémon Championship Series events. The lower-rated version is largely identical to standard Pokémon Champions but removes select features, including in-app purchases, Pokémon trial recruitments and certain in-game items. Beginning with the 2027 Championship Series season, VGC players attending events in Germany who are younger than 12 on the first day of competition and players attending events in Brazil who are younger than 14 will be required to use Pokémon Champions Junior, while older players can use the standard version. Both versions of Pokémon Champions remain fully compatible with each other.
