The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event is now underway in Pokémon GO, introducing Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles for the first time from Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. through Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. local time. The costumed Charmander can appear in the wild, through Field Research, from regular Lure Modules or via the event GO Pass and can evolve into Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles, with Shiny and Special Background variants also possible. The event features additional Pokémon Horizons-themed encounters, including Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat, while Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles, Meowscarada, Skeledirge and Quaquaval will appear in raids. Trainers can also encounter Fidough, Wattrel, Chansey, Eevee, Hatenna and Rockruff during different event periods, with surprise encounters featuring Pokémon Horizons characters and Pokémon possible when taking snapshots. The free GO Pass offers rewards including Pokémon encounters, XP and Lure Modules, while GO Pass Deluxe adds rewards such as Premium Battle Passes and Rare Candy XL, with progression bonuses including increased Candy and additional Stardust.
