Pokémon GO is teaming up with the European Space Agency for a space-themed celebration running from Oct. 4, 2026, through April 30, 2027, with special gameplay at participating science and space museums across Europe. Trainers visiting the featured locations will be able to encounter Astronaut Pikachu in one-star raids, with successful in-person raids offering a chance to catch the costumed Pikachu with a special Location Background commemorating the visit and a chance for a Shiny encounter. The participating museums are Science Museum in London, Cité de l’espace in Toulouse, Deutsches Museum in Nuremberg, Museu de les Ciències in València, Space Expo in Noordwijk and Euro Space Center in Transinne. Timed Research will be available at the museums throughout the full event period, while event-themed Field Research and increased wild encounters for Pikachu, Clefairy, Magnemite, Starmie, Lunatone, Solrock, Elgyem and Blipbug will run from Oct. 4-10. The same event gameplay, excluding Location Backgrounds, will also be available from Oct. 4-10 at ESA facilities in Paris, Frascati, Darmstadt, Madrid, Noordwijk, Redu and Harwell.
