Pokémon Masters EX is set for a major round of updates beginning Sept. 29, with Story Event: Treasures of Ruin—Ghetsis introducing the four Treasures of Ruin through weekly chapters featuring Chien-Pao, Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien and Ting-Lu, alongside the debut of EX Fair-exclusive Sygna Suit Ghetsis & Chien-Pao and Sygna Suit Lysandre (Alt.) & Chi-Yu. Sygna Suit Ghetsis & Chien-Pao is an Ice-type Strike Sync Pair with a Tech EX Role that can Sync Terastallize into Ice type and use the powerful Icerend Icicle Crash Buddy Move, while Sygna Suit Lysandre (Alt.) & Chi-Yu is a Fire-type Field Sync Pair with a Sprint EX Role that can Sync Terastallize into Fire type and use Firescourge Inferno to burn opponents, lower a random stat by four ranks and boost allied Sync Move ↑ Next effects. The September 29 update also revamps Daily Missions with random objectives and Surprise Box rewards, while the Monthly BP Challenge adds Lyra (Special Costume) & Marill, new Battle Point rewards and BP Challenge Vouchers; the challenge requires Main Story Chapter 1 to unlock, refreshes monthly and resets Battle Points when rewards change.
Trainer Gyms will enter a new season from Sept. 30 through Oct. 24, while the update removes Main Story Hard difficulty and Battle Villa, adds an Egg Area and Chewy Lucky Cookies to the Training Area and introduces new Jukebox songs. The game will also launch a Beginners & Returning Players Champion Challenge on Sept. 30 with 5★ Power-Ups, Champion Spirit, a Fair-Guaranteed Scout Ticket and Gems, while the Pokémon 30-Year Celebration continues with Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir missions, a 1,000-Gem login bonus and the return of Story Event: Melancholy Wally. Pasio Gym Battle: Sinnoh Gym Leaders Assembled begins Oct. 2 with Roark, Gardenia, Maylene, Crasher Wake, Fantina, Byron, Candice and Volkner, followed by a Legendary Gauntlet featuring Tapu Bulu, Latias and Raikou on Oct. 9, plus a one-time Paid Gems Scout offering a choice of Fair-Exclusive Sync Pair. Korrina will also become a Trainer Lodge guest Sept. 30 for players who have teamed up with Korrina & Lucario, and future seasonal events will introduce revised rerun Scouts and guaranteed-ticket opportunities for older Seasonal Sync Pairs. The Mix Scout lineup is additionally scheduled to expand Oct. 31 to include Master Fair-exclusive Sync Pairs, excluding Ash & Pikachu and EX Master Sync Pairs.
