Pokémon GO’s World Space Week 2026 event is now underway, introducing Astronaut Pikachu as a new costumed Pokémon with the chance to encounter its Shiny variant. The event runs from Oct. 4 at midnight through Oct. 10 at 11:59 p.m. local time, with Astronaut Pikachu available in one-star raids and through free Timed Research. Trainers who complete the research can earn an encounter with Astronaut Pikachu along with additional rewards, while lucky players may encounter Shiny Astronaut Pikachu through the event’s available encounters. The Timed Research must be completed and all rewards claimed by Oct. 12 at 11:59 p.m. local time, after which the research expires.
