The Pokémon x European Space Agency (ESA) exhibition is now open at Cité de l’espace in Toulouse, France, running from Oct. 2, 2026, through April 30, 2027, with displays combining iconic Pokémon with real space exploration and astronomy. Included with general museum admission, the exhibition explores subjects such as Jupiter’s icy moons and black holes, using Pokémon including Rayquaza and Minior to introduce visitors to ESA missions and scientific discoveries. One of the highlights is the Pikachu plush that accompanied French ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot to the International Space Station, spending 67 days in space from April 11 to June 17, 2026, and completing approximately 1,040 orbits around Earth. Visitors can also explore an International Space Station-inspired display, see an astronaut Pikachu statue and watch a video featuring Adenot discussing her experiences with Pikachu in orbit. The wider collaboration includes themed Pikachu plush toys, an astronaut figurine, apparel and Pokémon Trading Card Game accessories available through the museum shop, the ESA online shop and Pokémon Center. Pokémon GO is also celebrating the partnership through special gameplay available at Cité de l’espace and participating ESA facilities from Oct. 4, 2026, to April 30, 2027, featuring one-star raids with Astronaut Pikachu, Timed Research, themed wild encounters and opportunities to obtain Pokémon with special Location Backgrounds.
