For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is delighted to highlight the art of the amazingly talented Ana XiFuentes. This 22-year-old singer, dancer, and artist had the opportunity to collaborate with our friends from Ilustradoras Unidas in the third and fourth generations of Pokédex Ilustrada.
For Ana, art is a synonym for freedom, self-expression, and movement.
Her relationship with Pokémon is enduring: “It has been with me since I was a child. It’s one of the few franchises that stayed with me. I watched part of the anime series and played several games while growing up.”
Having the opportunity to combine these two things she loves means a lot to her because it allows her to create illustrations from excellent references.
“My favorite Pokémon is Chimchar,” she concluded.
