Pokemon theme song played 382 percent more often on Spotify due to Pokemon GO

The original Pokemon theme song has been all over Spotify lately due to Pokemon GO. Following the recent launch of the mobile game, the classic theme song was played 382 percent more often by users of the streaming service. This was followed in popularity by The Kanto Pokérap, which mentions the original 150 Pokemon, according to Mashable. There’s a good number of Pokemon fans on Spotify, which has nearly 200,000 user-generated Pokemon playlists and over 50,000 that are titled “Pikachu.”
