Niantic has implemented a new experimental tracking system into Pokemon GO as part of the game’s recent update 1.3.0 on iOS and 0.33.0 on Android. The developer is testing a variation of the “Nearby Pokémon” feature with a select number of users. During this period, players may see some variation in the nearby Pokemon user interface (UI).
