Game Freak is aware of Pokemon fan games

There have been several Pokemon fan games developed over the years, such as Pokemon Uranium, which the studio behind the core Pokemon titles is aware of. In an interview with Kotaku, Game Freak producer Junichi Masuda acknowledged that he appreciates that fans are familiarizing themselves about the process that makes the franchise possible. “Yes, of course, I see a lot of the—well, it’s hard to say an example, but I see a lot of people on Twitter [sending me] different takes [on Pokémon],” Masuda said. “If I see that you are having fun creating things, or working on an art project…working on game development, we kind of share that feeling.”
