The Pokemon League is initially absent from Alola in Pokemon Sun and Moon

In previous games in the Pokemon series, the Pokemon League always served as the ultimate stage for battle. It housed the Elite Four – consisting of four Trainers with powerful Pokemon partners – and the Champion, who reigned as the region’s top Trainer, all awaiting challengers. In Pokemon Sun and Moon, the Pokemon League is initially absent from the Alola region, but there are plans to construct one at the peak of a certain mountain. After players complete the island challenge, the day when they’ll also be able to take on the Pokemon League will eventually come.
