Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow were re-released earlier this year through Virtual Console, but what about other classics like Pokemon Gold and Silver? It turns out that there are no current plans to re-distribute them via the service, according to Game Freak‘s Junichi Masuda. “With the 20th anniversary, it was the right timing to release the original games,’ Masuda explained to IGN. “I think that we really want to give people the experience of bringing these Pokemon from the original Game Boy and seeing what they look like in Pokemon Sun and Moon. That is something that I want people to enjoy.” Masuda recently revealed that The Pokemon Company is interested in investing in more remakes of older entries in the series.
