One of the Nintendo 3DS users who was banned for using an unauthorized version of Pokemon Sun and Moon contacted Nintendo Germany regarding the matter, and he got a reply saying the ban was permanent and that undoing it is strictly “out of the question.” Read on below for the translated letter:

Thank you for contacting our services at Nintendo.
Your console was banned because you used an illegal prerelease-version of Pokemon Sun / Moon.
This game officially comes out on 23.11.2016 in Europe. You certainly can imagine Nintendo is not pleased that illegal copies of that game are already existing.
Because of this, this ban is permanent and undoing this is out of the question.
