Game Freak discusses the potential of Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch

Pokemon series developer Game Freak will be keeping a close eye on Nintendo Switch. Speaking during a recent interview, producer Junichi Masuda expressed excitement toward the upcoming console and discussed the potential of bringing Pokemon games to it. “Without a doubt, Nintendo Switch is the future, but we will have to wait until it comes to the market and study how it can benefit from Pokémon,” Masuda said. “When people have it, we will have to see and study deeply how they use it to then think about how the next installments of Pokémon will be and how the saga could benefit from this new console. We have done all this way with Nintendo, with its consoles. I think we will continue to evolve with them, with their consoles. We will continue the way the Nintendo consoles mark the future.” Another version of Pokemon Sun and Moon called Pokemon Stars is rumored to be in the works for Nintendo Switch. A Nintendo representative recently said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the unannounced project was real.
